You must contact the author before performing, distributing, or recording this song. This most definitely WAS a work in progress, lyrics and vocals aside. The intro unashamedly takes its inspiration from one of the greatest rock songs OAT….IMHO. Won’t Get Fooled Again saw Pete Townsend at a creative peak and his brilliant intro is one of my favourite pieces of music. Pete used two keyboards to create the sound. One generating the tone and another processing it further. It’s a truly majestic piece that leads into a classic 70’s rock masterpiece.
My intro uses the Adrenalinn pedal. Again. I keep coming back to this pedal. I’ve always wanted to write my own “Fooled Again” and use only electric guitar to do it. Would not be possible without the Adrenalinn. There’s three tracks of guitar in the intro plus three loops for additional enhancement. It crashes into the song proper where momentum is established and the challenge will be maintaining that throughout. I look forward to finishing it although I don’t want to f**k it up with a lame part. I’ll take my time with this one and upload a finished version when I’m satisfied with the end result. I just wish I had Pete Townsend as a collaborator!
NOTE April 08 - TRACKING COMPLETED. UNFORTUNATELY PETE COULDN'T MAKE IT SO I FINISHED IT MYSELF. DID I F**K IT UP WITH A LAME PART? I DON'T KNOW. THAT'S WHY I LIKE FEEDBACK. I THINK IT SOUNDS BIG THOUGH.
I THINK SPOTTING THE VERSES, CHORUSES AND MIDDLE 8 ISN'T TOO DIFFICULT. THE OUTRO I LIKE TOO. THE CHORD IS A D MAJOR TRIAD WITH A C BASS. IT SOUNDS UNRESOLVED. I IGNORED STRICT TIME. I JUST PUMMEL THAT CHORD. I OVERDUBBED CRAZY LEAD LINES DRENCHED IN REVERB. THREW IN SOME LOOPS TOO. THE SONG CLOCKS IN AT 6 MINUTES. TOO LONG MAYBE SO I'LL TAKE A KNIFE TO IT DOWN THE TRACK. THE INTRO COULD BE A TAD SELF-INDULGENT BUT HEY....I THINK IT SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD FOR AN ELECTRIC GUITAR.

I wish i could credit Pete Townsend as a co-writer. I'll call him. See if he can come over to my house and give me a hand finishing it.
NO GO WITH PETE. HE COULDN'T MAKE IT.

hypnotic, suggestive (Adrenalinn rules!) - somewhat "gloomy" tone with "hopeful" highpitched slow lead guitar - a Great track (no lame parts), - what kind of vocals will match ? - maybe you should leave it as is?

Thank-you /p for your comments.
Yes indeed the Adrenalinn does rule.
At the moment the track sort of needs vocals because i've left the verses fairly sparse. I'll see what can be done.
And i hope to publish the Adrenalinn settings i used to get the intro sounds. I think it might have been preset 137 on the A3.
thanks! -
