This was just a practice session that I managed to record after a couple of drinks listening to artists better than me. Made it up on the spot... having some fun. Just glad I have something to say and when I look back upon it, I feel like I am saying what I wanted to. Even though some parts of the song are very rough (OK, it's very poor in places, I literally made it up as I went, realizing it was going to be choppy) I like how it goes from one style into another with a somewhat controlled chaos between bits. This is a skill I'm working on; trying to let things loosen up a bit more. I really admire bands like Wilco and Radiohead who can allow chaotic sound decay to occur, but still build it back up. If you listen to Wilco's "A Ghost is Born" you'll see what I am trying to get at (even though I come from a more blues rock background and am nowhere near as good).
Nope... well, maybe SOMEONE, but I can't think of who

Well thanks Mike. Should I call you Mike "The Douche" instead? Appreciate your suggestions for making it better and all your other good feedback. My next song will be called Mike The Douche just for you.

Sorry about that man... my little brother got on my computer and typed some shit in. Your song is actually pretty nice, well recorded.

So Mike is not a douche, his little brother just needs some manners. I guess as a kid I'd see the humor in that too.

You should still write the tune! haha... it would be hilarious

It sounds like a street that has no beginng or ending with some really good stops in between!!! Just like all of your jams!!! The thing is, when are you going to get serious!!! Get a band together...find some really serious players and you just might go somewhere!!! I can tell you love to jam...just take the next step and be serious about it!!! From one artis to the next...you can do it!!! I'll check in from time to time and see how you are doing!!! C-ya!!!

Hey thanks for the comment. Once I get 'off the road' (I travel for my job Mon - Thurs EVERY week) I do plan to start another band and set up a small studio to invite fellow musicians over to jam. I just got a Pro Tools LE Mini system so I'm working hard to improve the quality of my productions and actually get some ideas refined enough to call 'songs'. I realize my ideas are pretty noodley right now and don't go anywhere... but I can't help jotting them down like notes for a book I will ultimately pen! :)
